Nancy and I took off a Sunday from our regular church to go to a service at a local Anglican church called St. Saviour’s where they were celebrating the Cross of Nails community. During World War II, both Coventry Cathedral and Dresden Cathedral were badly bombed. After the war, the two cathedrals formed his community dedicated to peace and reconciliation and named after the medieval nails found in the wreckage of Coventry in the form of a cross. The community has been well supported by the Cathedral in Washington DC and was part of the Truth & Reconciliation process here in South Africa. We have been active members for many years.
